The purpose of the Code of Conduct is to provide students, staff, trustees, and parents with information regarding safe and healthy schools.
Garden Valley School Division believes that all behaviour must contribute to a safe, inviting, and inclusive climate essential for effective teaching and learning to occur. All individuals in our schools have a responsibility to contribute to the learning process, ensuring that they do not infringe upon the rights of others.
Education is a right — School is a privilege.
Let's give the gift of Learning. November has arrived and this is the month when our school does our largest charity drive. Our goal is to raise enough money to supply 200 school kits! MCC School Kits cost $8 each and provide pencils, scribblers, rulers, and other materials for a student in need. These school kits contain the supplies children need in impoverished countries. We live in a land of plenty, but others in this world are not that fortunate and need our help. There will be a variety of activities and ways students and staff can get involved and build a kit. Our kick-off assembly will be held November 2, and full details of special events will be announced then. During
the first week of November, students are encouraged to bring in an item (toy, gift etc.) to donate to our Silent Auction. The Silent Auction tickets are $0.25 each. The Silent Auction starts on November 9. Thursday, Nov. 26 is "Fun Friday" (on a Thursday!). We are organizing the day, so that each student can participate for 1 period of fun activities in the gym. Each activity costs $0.50-so be sure to save up your pocket change! And there will be donuts for sale! At the end of November, we will tally the funds raised and send the School Kits to the MCC warehouse in Plum Coulee.
